Our story
Blueberries are a highly valued berry crop with rich nutritional value. They contain fibre, vitamins, minerals, organic acids and anthocyanins, which is why they are often included in a balanced diet.
We have been growing blueberries on our farm since 1984. Over the decades, we have built knowledge, experience and an approach based on careful selection of growing conditions, proper plant care and a strong focus on quality and freshness.
Today, Lavrinc Blueberries represent serious and long-term production, where tradition is connected with a modern approach, certified production and customer trust.

The plantation
In Slovenia, blueberries are still a relatively specific crop, as they require very special growing conditions. Our location allows production in soil that is suitable for blueberry growth and supports the development of a high-quality plantation.
Today, the plantation covers approximately 4 hectares, with around 10,000 bushes of different blueberry varieties. This diversity of varieties allows a longer ripening period, better adaptation to weather conditions and a wide range of quality fruit.
Part of the plantation also consists of younger plants, so production develops gradually. Blueberries need time to reach full yield, which is why long-term care of the plantation is one of the key elements of successful production.
What makes our plantation special
A larger number of varieties means more diverse and thoughtful production. This allows us to adapt better to the season, extend the harvest period and maintain greater production stability.

The basis of successful production is a healthy and well-cared-for plant. We pay close attention to proper soil preparation, suitable acidity, plantation care, irrigation, pruning and regular monitoring of plant development.
Crop quality
At harvest, it is not only quantity that matters to us, but above all the right ripeness of the fruit. We pick blueberries when they reach their best taste, aroma and freshness.
